4-6-20   THOUGHTS    GOOD MORNING!
Joe Ekkelboom and I were talking last evening.  We decided that the NEW of self-sheltering had worn off.  We are now at the time when a short-term couple of weeks is looking more like a couple of months.  A full freezer is no longer full.
When I am faced with a problem, in this case boredom and cabin fever, I can get unsettled as to WHAT TO DO?  I have learned that the mind that doesn’t know what to do is probably vacant to a large degree.  At least vacated by the good!  A certain “couch-potato apathy sets in and the battle is set!  This man needs some good food and I don’t mean popcorn or chips!   This is a mind that needs to FEED ON GOD’S WORD...   PRAYING in the process!
My mind and heart needs to be RESCUED from laziness.

Ps 27:14    Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.
Ps 37:7       Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him;
Jas 1:21b   in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.

Somehow the following must SATURATE my mind!  This is
                           THE ESSENCE & MEANING OF LIFE
1Cor 15:1-4   Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand,  2  by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3  For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4  and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
2Tim 3:14-17   You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15  and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16  All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;  17  so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

I encouraged all of us to read the 119th Psalm a few days ago...
Ps 119:37-38     Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity, And revive me in Your ways.
38   Establish Your word to Your servant, As that which produces reverence for You.

Isa 57:15   For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell [on] a high and holy place, And [also] with      the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.
My Prayer:
Father You are Holy and above all...  And yet you have been so mindful of your creation.  You dwell in heaven, yet you revive us who are lowly in spirit and seek your presence.  Help us now to desire you in a most special way.  Help us to immerse ourselves in the glory of your presence.  We know that all of your words are true and that faith comes from the hearing of your Word!  Lord increase our faith!    In Jesus name,          Amen
